CARROT CAKE RECIPE


Ingredients

  • 1 bag Tasty Smart Spiced Cake Mix
  • 1 Vegg
  • ¼ cup Plant-based milk
  • ½ cup Crushed Carrot
  • ½ tsp Almond extract
  • ½ cup Crushed Pineapple
  • ¼ cup Oil

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350 °F for a shiny metal or glass pan. Heat to 325 °F for a nonstick pan. Grease bottom and sides of pan.
  2. Combine cake mix, oil, milk, ‘vegg’ and other ingredients in a medium bowl with a mixer on medium speed or beat vigorously by hand for 2 minutes. Pour into pan.
  3. Bake as directed in the chart or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes before removing from the pan. Cool completely before frosting.

Tasty Recommendation for vegg

Combine 1 tablespoon flaxseed meal with 3 tablespoons of water. Mix together, and let sit for 5 minutes to set up and thicken.


Tasty Recommendation for plant-based milk 

For Carrot Cake, we suggest coconut milk.

This mix is made with raw flour. It is not ready-to-eat and must be thoroughly cooked before eating. Wash hands, utensils, and surfaces after handling.
